Inquiring Minds Want to See.....

Hippo That Lives in a House...
In class, we were discussing the journey through the underworld that the Egyptians took to the afterlife. While on the topic of the weighing of the heart, we discussed Ammut, the creature that eats the heart. Ammut is made up of a few animals, one being a hippo. We talked about how dangerous these animals were to the Egyptians and how they feared them.

I shared a story I once saw about a "Hippo that lives in a house." I said I would share the video...

iPad Apps needed

iPad ....
I was very fortunate to attend a workshop this summer using Apple's new iPad in the classroom. As part of the workshop, I got an iPad for my classroom. YEAH!!! I am now looking for apps that we could use in the classroom. Any suggestions? Leave me a comment on apps that you might like to see on the iPad. They can be apps for any subject.

Snow Days= No Greek Test

Due to the two snow days, I need to move Greek day to Tuesday, February 16th.

What does that mean to you?.... NO ANCIENT GREEK TEST on Thursday. You will have the test on Tuesday. :)

Enjoy the snow day.... Be safe and warm.

Pictoword

Thank you Lydia for going the "extra mile" on your pictoword assignment. I loved hearing the explanation on how each of the governments gained and lost their power in ancient Greece. Want to learn more? Ask Lydia to explain her drawings.
